During your consultation, we will ask questions about your medical history, weight goals and history with weight loss before prescribing the medication and to ensure that Ozempic is the right choice for you.
Ozempic comes in the form of an injection pen filled with medication and has four needles. The initial treatment pen has 0.25mg per dose each week for 4 weeks. After 4 weeks the dose will increase to 0.5mg per week. The dose will then increase to a maintenance dose of 1mg per week. This gradual increase of dosage is the best way to help you adjust to the medication and avoid any potential side effects.
Weight loss results differ from person to person but expect to lose a minimum of 5% of your initial body weight after completing 12 weeks of treatment.
