What is Radiesse Dermal Filler?

Radiesse is a type of dermal filler that is used to add volume to the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It is made of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a water-based gel.

When injected into the skin, Radiesse immediately adds volume to the treated area, helping to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines. The calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres in the filler then stimulate the production of collagen, a protein that helps to maintain the skin’s structure and elasticity. Over time, the microspheres are gradually absorbed by the body, leaving behind the newly produced collagen.

Radiesse is typically used to treat moderate to severe wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and chin wrinkles. It can also be used to add volume to the cheeks and temples.

The treatment is usually well-tolerated, with minimal discomfort and downtime. The effects of Radiesse can last up to a year or longer, and repeat treatments are usually recommended to maintain the effects.

Radiesse is generally considered safe and effective when performed by a qualified and experienced provider. However, as with any medical treatment, there are risks involved, and it’s important to discuss the potential risks and benefits of Radiesse with a qualified provider before undergoing the treatment.
